Welcome to The Three Pillars Wellness Center!

Welcome to the Three Pillars Wellness Center. We are an oasis of peace in the middle of Chicago's hectic urban life. Come to us to rejuvenate, reconnect and take care of yourself. We offer classes seven days a week in Yoga, Pilates, Nia, Tai chi, Belly dance, Group Kickboxing and Meditation. To further take care of your body and spirit, we offer a variety of massage and bodywork. Come explore and rediscover yourself at Hyde Park's premiere urban retreat center.

We are located at 1516 E. 53rd St. in Chicago's Hyde Park, above Valois' restaurant, across the street from the Hyde Park Bank. See map.

Kundalini Yoga Beginner's Workshop: Intro to the Chakra System-Wheels of Energy

Use yogic technology to better understand the subtle energy centers referred to as Chakras. Join in this fun and informative six-week series and discover where your chakras are and what their corresponding strengths determine for health and spiritual growth.

Each class will consist of Kundalini yoga and meditation with mantra chanting, breathing exercises and deep relaxation with the gong. The six-class series is $95. Drop-in is $20.

The series starts Sunday, July 20th, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm and runs 6 consecutive weeks until August 24.

Free Community Yoga Class Returns

Starting Sunday, July 20 at 1:00, Brian will be teaching a combination Hatha and Yin yoga class. This is a free class that will be on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month until further notice. If you have any friends that have wanted to try yoga, let them know. For students new to Three Pillars, please be sure to come at least 10 minutes before class starts.

Latest News and Updates (July 3, 2008 - 1:00 PM)
  • -  The next Intro to Kickboxing is on Wednesday, July 9, at 7:45 pm. The 5-week series starts the following week on July 16. Please come 10-15 minutes early to register and pay.

  • -  There will be no tai chi classes from Saturday, August 2nd, to Saturday, August 9th.

  • -  The next Belly dance series start on Tuesday, August 12, or Thursday, August 14. Class starts at 6:15 pm. If this is your first class with us, come 10-15 minutes early to register and pay.

  • -  Wednesday morning's Nia and Yoga class is off for the summer.

  • -  We have a new Ashtanga Yoga class on Fridays! This class is a combination teaching and practice class. By doing a half primary Ellie will be able to work with you on sections that can be challenging so that you will get even more out of your next class. If you want to give you're Hatha yoga practice a boost with a flow style class or you're a beginner to yoga, this is the class for you. Experienced Ashtangis are welcome to come and will get a lot out of this class, too. Class is in the mornings from 9:15 to 10:45
