Welcome to the Three Pillars Wellness Center. We are an oasis of peace in the middle of Chicago's hectic urban life. Come to us to rejuvenate, reconnect and take care of yourself. We offer classes seven days a week in Yoga, Pilates, Nia, Tai chi, Belly dance, Group Kickboxing and Meditation. To further take care of your body and spirit, we offer a variety of massage and bodywork. Come explore and rediscover yourself at Hyde Park's premiere urban retreat center.

Chair Massages Are Now Available
For the month of May, Lawrence our Massage Therapist is offering chair massages on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Chair massages are a great pick me up and also a great way to try out Lawrence's therapeutic massage skills.
In Lawrence's own words: "This month I am offering everyone mini-massages! Every Monday and Tuesday evening in May, you can experience 10, 15 or 20 minutes of Chinese acupressure in a massage chair. For only $1 per minute I will work on your pressure points and use trigger point therapy to release those tight neck and back muscles. Come to Three Pillars on Monday and Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm and get a taste of Tui Na acupressure massage! This mini-massage tune-up will benefit you by reducing stress, relieving pain and increasing range of motion. I hope to see you there. Payments are cash only and no appointments are necessary. One of the nice things about chair massage is its spur of the moment convenience. You're walking by with a few minutes on your hands and there it is. But just in case you you'll be at Three Pillars and want to guarantee your time, give Lawrence a call at 773-899-3040 and schedule your chair massage. Don't forget to call him if you want a full 1 or 1.5 hour session.

Price Change
We hope you've been enjoying classes at Three Pillars and find value in the time and money you invest in yourself here. As much as we enjoy offering classes and services that help with your health and wellness and wish we could give it away as the gift it is, we live in a material world. Since operating costs continue to go up, at some point the cost of classes must go up. The last time class prices were increased was over 3 years ago. I hope you understand the necessity of this and continue to enjoy your time at Three Pillars.
Starting June 1, 2008, drop-in classes will cost $17, only a dollar more. Multi-class passes will increase similarly: 5-class passes will be $80, 10-class passes $153, and 20-class passes $284. The month-long unlimited classes pass will be $180. The Belly Dance and Nia/Yoga series will be $85 and Group Kickboxing will be $75. Students with a student ID still get 1 bonus class with a 10-class pass, 2 bonus classes with a 20-class pass and 10% off a month-long unlimited classes pass.

New Ashtanga Yoga Class On Friday Mornings
This class will be a combination teaching and practice class. By doing a half primary Ellie will be able to work with you on sections that can be challenging so that you will get even more out of your next class. If you want to give you're Hatha yoga practice a boost with a flow style class or you're a beginner to yoga, this is the class for you. Experienced Ashtangis are welcome to come and will get a lot out of this class, too. Class starts Friday, May 16, and is from 9:15 to 10:45 am.

- - Memorial Day Weekend Schedule: We're open Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, May 24 and 25. We're closed all day on Monday, Memorial Day, May 26.
- - The next Belly dance series start on Tuesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 15. Both classes are at 6:15 and is once a week for 6 weeks for $80. Please come 10-15 minutes early to register and pay.
- - The next Intro to Kickboxing is on Wednesday, May 28, at 7:45 pm. The 5-week series starts the following week on June 4. Please come 10-15 minutes early to register and pay.
